Using the Club for Practice

E-mail Print PDF

Some of our members have keys for the gate at the club. By all means use the club for practice when you can, but please make sure that if you close the gate behind you. We have had ‘undesirables’ drive onto the ground when the gate has been left open, so for your security and ours please make sure that you close it after you.

Please sign in the book when you arrive at the club. If you need to pay for practice please do not leave money in the clubhouse. Put the amount you owe in the book and settle up with Joan Gray or one of the committee members when you next see them. Also, don’t forget that if you also do some work at the club such as cutting bushes or grass, you practice for free on that day. Again, if you are working put it in the book so that we know.

Please be aware that Alan and his wife (from the shotgun club) are often at the club working on their side of the ground. They sometimes have to get to the area behind the practice butts, so if they need to access that area please let them do so and go practice somewhere else. Do not do anything that will interfere with Alan’s use of the ground or his work. He runs his club as his business, so please bear this in mind when practicing on days when he is also using the club ground.

Please note also that the club is not available for practice on days when the shotgun club has its clay shoots. These are always on Sundays and the dates are on the website. Only use the club on those dates if you are going up there to do work that is absolutely necessary.
